Eastern Mediterranean Region (Last Updated On: ) Eastern Mediterranean Region Egyptian Menal Health NGO’s Cairo, Egypt WFMH co-sponsored the International Congress of Egyptian Mental Health NGOs held on 15-17 February 2000 in association with the Egyptian Psychiatric Association. The meeting took place in Cairo under the chairmanship of Professor Omar Shaheen, and was attended by WFMH President Ahmed El Azayem and Secretary General Marten deVries. The theme of the conference was Psychiatry and Mental Health Services in the Coming Century, with a program covering a broad range of topics.
