World Mental Health Day was first proclaimed by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992. The Day is co-sponsored by the World Health Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations. Participants are encouraged to use the 2000-2001 theme, “Mental Health And Work” when planning activities. You are welcome, however, to address whatever issue is most appropriate to your community’s needs.
