In the reorganization of WHO initiated by its new Director-General, Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, a structure was established with clusters, departments and teams, instead of divisions, programmes and units. Dr. Suzuki’s cluster consists of four departments. These are: Mental Health; Substance Abuse; Health Promotion; and Disability/ Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. Ageing; Long-term and Home-based Care; and Assessment, Classification and Epidemiology are also part of the Social Change and Mental Health Cluster.
