Aya Nepesova, M.D., of the Department of Psychiatry at the Turkmen State Medical Institute in Ashgabat, and Nelly Genefiko of the Addiction Reference Center provided a joint report of World Mental Health Day activities, which included a conference on 10 October, a hot-line telephone service, and the production of a booklet and information sheets for professionals and the general public. The WFMH kit’s information on human rights was circulated to medical staff, and an article headed “This is World Mental Health Day” appeared in the Neitralny Turkmenistan newspaper.
