Antonia Kangumine of the Ministry of Health and Social Services wrote from Windhoek that mental health care in her country was in a developing stage, and that the Ministry was considering the World Mental Health Day kit’s material on the protection of persons with mental illness. She added that to mark the Day “people with mental illness in the community as well as chronically mentally ill patients were taken out, together with their care providers (relatives), as well as people with psychsocial problems, to let them fell that they are part of the community and the community still loves them, and respects them as the senior citizens of the country.”
