Taipei, Taiwan 15-18 October 1998
This meeting celebrates both WFMH’s 50th Anniversary and the 40th Anniversary of the Chinese Guidance Association in Taiwan. Its joint organizers are the Guidance Association and the Mental Health Association in Taiwan. The theme is “Approaching Tranquillity of Mind and Spirit – Media, Mental Health, and Counseling.” The program is arranged under three topics: the role of the media in mental health (children, adolescents, gender, etc.) ; the ecological environment and mental health (family, school, community, culture, religion, etc.); and mental health and counseling (suicide prevention, stress management, etc.). The official languages are Mandarin Chinese and English, with simultaneous translation of the plenary sessions.
Presentation proposals (individual paper, symposium or poster) are welcome in abstract form (300 words maximum, plus full contact information). The deadline for abstracts is 25 May 1998, with notification by 15 June. Chair of the Programme Committee:
