African Regional Council/WFMH

Africa

A project to support persons with disabilities, submitted by a partnership of WFMHs African Regional Council and the Canadian Mental Health Association to the Canadian International Agency for Development (CIDA) in August 1998, was approved for funding in December 1999. The project is designed to strengthen the African Regional Councils linkages throughout Southern Africa, and also to meet the individual requirements of national mental health associations in the area (for example, the Mental Health Association of Zambia, the Zimbabwe National Association for Mental Health, and the South African Federation for Mental Health.
