Making Mental Health a Global Priority

SUPPORT WFMH

 .
SUPPORTING THE WORLD FEDERATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH

Everyone deserves proper care, treatment and recovery resources for an illness. What makes mental illness different from cancer or heart disease or a physical disability? With the proper care, treatment and resources – recovery is possible for everyone!

We will all continue to suffer the devastating and often tragic consequences of untreated mental illnesses – unless we fight for equal funding, treatment options and resources as many physical illnesses receive.

Please help us by supporting our programs, our campaigns for change. We urgently need your ongoing support to help us continue being an international voice for mental health reform.

Please review the following options for contributing to the WFMH below.

We appreciate even the smallest contribution!!

WFMH DISASTER RESPONSE INITIATIVE “REMEMBER THE CHILDREN” FUND

WFMH became active in addressing the mental health consequences of disasters in the aftermath of the December 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami. Since that time, the WFMH Disaster Response Initiative has continued to develop strategies for supporting its grassroots member organizations working in disaster situations. One of the important issues in any disaster, whether manmade or natural, is paying attention to the mental and emotional health needs of affected children. The WFMH Disaster Response Initiative includes a special fund appeal “The Remember The Children Fund.” Any donations made to this fund are used to assist grassroots organizations working on mental health issues of children in disaster situations. If you would like to support this project, please send contributions to the WFMH Secretariat with a note specifying the Remember the Children’s Fund. Thank you for your generosity.
